Dottie & Nelson Megna
September 10, 2000

Living Water Spiritual Center held a benefit in honor of
Dottie & Nelson Megna
. The following is an excerpt from the program handout of 9/10/00:

When Dottie Reed and Nelson Megna entered Keene (NH) Teachers College in the mid-1950s, they knew they wanted to be educators. What they didn't know was that nearly a half century later they would be present with us today, honored for their lives of service to others. Married for 42 years, parents of 4, grandparents of 11, Dottie and Nelson Megna have given of themselves in so many ways - always God-centered, serving the Church, the community at large, ministering to others, and embracing family, friends and neighbors. Through it all, in the example they have set and the lives they have lived, they’ve personified and elevated the profession to which they had aspired those many years ago.

Today we gather to honor and thank them. Our lives, our schools and our communities are richer for having been graced with their presence, and we join in prayerful gratitude for all they have done.

God bless you, Dottie and Nelson!

This Flowering Pear Tree was planted on
Sept. 10, 2000 in honor of the Megna's.
The marker reads:
