Dear Friend of
Living Water Spiritual Center,
In the name of
the Sisters of St. Joseph and the staff of Living Water Spiritual Center,
heartfelt thanks for your support of the ministry of the Center. Thank you for
participating in our programs, for your prayers, volunteer help, and
contributions made to the Center or to our Scholarship Fund. Without you we
couldn’t continue to offer nourishment of spirit and body to the many who seek
to grow in their relationship with God, self and others. During this season of
giving we invite you to consider a financial contribution.
With each new
person or group that comes through our doors, we are reminded of how important
this ministry is. One of my delights as the new Director is meeting each of
you. We continue to listen to you and seek to offer programming that is varied
as well as nurturing in so many ways. If you look through our Program Guide or
browse through our website, you will observe this “variety.” We desire to
increase our offerings. Some new ideas include a Bereavement series, Social
Justice programming, and additional guided and directed retreats. We also hope
to reach out to more faith communities and desire to partner with additional
non-profit organizations.
We continue to
work at improving our meeting spaces, bedrooms and updating our kitchen supplies
and small appliances. For example, recently through the thoughtful
donation of a hosted group we purchased a new 4-slice toaster. We also
invested in a 100-cup coffee urn in order to provide better service for larger
groups. See our current wish list to the right. As you know costs are increasing for
everything from food to heat. Through this challenging economic time we have
not increased our fees since it is important for every person to be able to
afford a renewal day or program that will enrich their lives. Your
continued generous financial support assists with all of the above and enables
us to offer hospitality, encouragement, and hope in all seasons to all people.
Please consider supporting the ministry of Living Water Spiritual Center.
If you are
unable to assist financially at this time we have many volunteer opportunities
for you to consider, from assisting with hospitality on opening evenings, to
helping with luggage, dishwashing, mailings, gardening, etc. If that is not
possible, please keep us in your prayer, for that is equally important!
We pray God to
bless you in beautiful, loving ways throughout this season as well as in the
coming year.
Most gratefully,
Sr. Line Rioux, CSJ
Director
